Sufficient grounding
Sufficiency asks whether a proposed ground can bear the explanatory, ontological, rational, semantic, or normative load placed upon it.
A halt is a decision.
A proposed ground may explain one feature while borrowing another feature from elsewhere. Such a ground may be locally useful without being sufficient for the whole chain.
Is the proposed ground sufficient for the thing it is supposed to ground?
And is that ground ultimate, or does it itself depend upon something more fundamental in the relevant respect?
