A system can become more capable without becoming better grounded. It can generate more fluent arguments, synthesize more information, perform longer inference chains, and imitate increasingly sophisticated human discourse while still lacking a stable governing referent for adjudicating the frameworks from which those outputs are produced.

Governed Logic is the upstream, bidirectional reasoning architecture in which truth governs logic, logic governs reasoning, and reasoning remains answerable to its ultimate ground.

Generatively, reasoning proceeds from ground through truth and logic. Adjudicatively, reasoning is tested back through logic and truth toward ground.

Logic alone cannot determine truth. A valid argument can proceed from false premises. Truth therefore governs the admissibility of the premises and the correspondence of the conclusion to reality. Logic governs the relations of inference.

A termination is where the relevant dependency has actually been grounded.

05The implementation

Governed Intelligence.

Before a candidate becomes the committed representation or action, the system tests the reasoning back through logic, truth, the applicable principles, and ultimately the governing referent.

Working prototype

Inspect the mechanism.

The current portable mechanism is a prototype using custom instructions. It is not the completed architecture, not a deterministic logic gate, and not a guarantee against hallucination or drift.

In development

Reasoning engine & API.

The intended architecture follows the established bidirectional Governed Logic process, including premise evaluation, semantic consistency, logical validity, truth-directed reasoning, and sufficient grounding.

06The research

The objective is truth.

Hold the framework constant.
Change the governing referent.

Model behavior can provide evidence about the effects, stability, and failure modes of an implementation. It cannot independently prove a metaphysical thesis, a historical claim, or the identity of the ultimate ground.

A system that cannot be wrong cannot be tested. A framework that cannot lose cannot be falsified.
